Aero is deactivating using Logmein

A very common problem for the Logmein users is the deactivation of the Aero after some time… What I observed is that it’s not happening at the time installing Logmein, but after a few days, suddenly it’s deactivated.

The key to solve this problem  is to not remove/uninstall the LMI Mirror Driver from Device Manager, but disable it:

1. Go to Start –> Control Panel –> Device Manager –> Display Adapters
2. Right-Click on LogMeIn Mirror Driver
3. Select Disable
4. Reboot

After these steps, when using LogMeIn the Aero interface will be disabled during a remote control session, but Aero will re-enable after you disconnect.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

what if this problem is flip flopped? i had a logmein session with my friend so he could help me with some mods i needed for oblivion and during the session all the settings changed since he didnt have aero for his computer. when he logged out my aero didnt go back to normal like it usually does. i tried trouble shot but it said to turn off the mirrow drive for it to work. know how to fix it?

if your friend was logged in to your pc, what does this have to do with the fact that he doesn’t have aero on his windows? i don’t think this counts nowhere. also, you made the steps described above during a remote session? as i know, by disabling the mirror driver, the aero should come back (maybe a restart of the pc would help…)
